Merry Christmas to all my friends and family from my prehistoric airport friend (who looks suspiciously like he's about to take a bite out of the holiday decorations).

So far the weather and I have managed to miss each other (it looks a little dicey there on Wednesday) and I'm having a great Christmas. I hope everyone else is having good time this holiday season and spending time with the people they love and care about.

I don't have any boxes or anything to wrap Matt's Xbox games in and since we've given up DVDs, he will suspect something if I wrap them as is since they're pretty obvious in size, shape and shake-factor.

So, my plan is to wrap them as is, but hide them around the house and make him hunt for them after he opens the Xbox.

This is going to be awesome.

I'll be getting ready for a trip and not cleaning and packing the night before I leave.

Plus as an added bonus I get to go in to the office tomorrow for the weekly staff meeting and to listen in on a dispute between a couple of our sub-contractors' employees. They're Spanish speakers so I'm there to make sure we have an accurate record of what happened in case anyone should need to be terminated.

I also need to stop by the store and pick up food for the critters and $$ for the pet sitter so I can leave all that ready for her before I leave.

Then (hopefully) I get to hop on a plane and head north (assuming the weather cooperates, keeping fingers crossed).

I'm really looking forward to napping on the plane :-)

My friend Tree just moved in with his lady, Holiday, and as I addressed a Christmas card to the two of them together this year, I couldn't help but wonder what the mailman was going to think when he saw, "Holiday and Tree" on the envelope.

Have I told you guys how flipping amazing you are? Thanks to you good folks, this wonderful family is going to have a Christmas. If you've ever been in their situation - and I know lots of us have - I am sure you know just how epic it is that strangers and friends alike come together to lend you a hand.

Well today was interesting. I'm cleaning up prior to my trip up north and what did I find?

The outside sensor for my digital thermometer/atomic clock and my old brass rat. What do these two things have in common? I've already bought replacements for both. Grumble grumble grumble.
